Casey Anthony verses Christian Lopez

I like to hear your comments on  two major stories.

So lets see Casey Anthony murders her two year old daughter ( yea I know the Jury found her not guilty, yea right)  and doesn't walk she has a private jet awaiting to take her to an undisclosed location. With six and seven figure deals awaiting her. (Who says crime doesn't pay)

Then you have Christian Lopez who catching Derek Jeter home run which happens to be his 3000 hit. That make it a very valuable ball, worth about a quarter of a million dollars. So instead of selling it he does the noble thing and gives the ball to Jeter for nothing. The Yankees gave him luxury suite tickets for the rest of the season. And his other reward for doing charitable thing, a $15,000 tax bill from the IRS.

So I ask you what does this say about the United States in 2011?
